Why is it that so many people look down upon those whom are less fortunate? I live in springfeild illinois, and I come up to the library here to use the computer on a dialy basis and everyday I see the same homeless people around here.. I am someone who doesn't like to see people having to survive like that, and I do everything in my power to help them out.. Why don't our government do more to help them out, or people who all kinds of money and waste it on frivilous stuff..? Why is it that so many of them are young? Why can't they get a job? Am I the only one out there who see's all this and it is getting worse not better.. You know what my 3 yr old son asked me other the day when we came by the library, "mom, those people don't have homes like us.. do they? I said no they don't hun" He says mommy can we go get them some food and blankets cause it's cold and they have to be hungry.. My 3 yr old did this, if he can see it why can't the adults.. or they do and choose to turn there eyes?

A lot of people are too lazy to work. I am not trying to be mean. It's just that I know some people who don't want to get a job. What can you do?

Some people feel that those "less fortunate" got that way from poor choices that they made..and in some cases that may be correct. Also, there are many government programs to assist people. However there are some who become dependant on these programs, and dont help themselves to better their own situation.

some people equate weatlh with status, some of those people think they are better than others who dont have as much.
