anyone is compatable with anyone. it just depends on how mature you are and if you can give and take accordingly. respect each other and be there for one another. there is no right or wrong pair up between 2 birth signs. if people truly followed their horoscopes so many of us would have missed their soul mate.

Taurus + Sagittarius
Just remember that when you're involved with a Taurus, you're involved with a sensualist, a nature lover, an indulger and a money lover. When you're involved with a Sagittarius, you're involved with an adventurer, a wheeler-dealer, a politician and a sport.
If you can give a Taurus security, beauty, nature and pleasure you have a better chance of getting their love and affection. If you can give a Sagittarius good times, great trips and mind expanding opportunities, then you have a better chance of getting their love and affection.
Taurus likes to touch nice things, own nice things, wear nice things, eat nice things and have nice things. For Taurus touch or the physical world is real and gives comfort. In fact, "I Have" is something of a philosophy for Taurus. Essentially Sagittarius is a good sport. The question is, "What's your game Sagittarius?" Sagittarius needs to aim high and roam free.
Essentially, Taurus needs to be assured that everything's O.K., safe and secure. Once that's taken care of Taurus is ready for gracious living. That is to say, Taurus need some good food, antique furniture and passionate sex.
It is important that Taurus acquire some mastery over the physical, practical and earthly world. Then, paradoxically, Taurus must learn to let go. Taurus will only find security by acquiring a sense of self that is separate from possessions. Actually, it's not so much about what you possess Taurus, but about not being in "survival jeopardy."
Folks tend to like the naturally enthusiastic Sagittarius. Sagittarius can cultivate tolerance and thus be able to get along with many different types of people. Sagittarius can get the power of positive thinking to work overtime. To do so, Sagittarius must clarify ideals and pursue life with a spirit of adventure.
In the relationship between Taurus and Sagittarius adjustment is key. You both need to give more than you get. This association requires extra sensitivity. At first, each may be somewhat irritated about each other. In time, with work, the very thing that caused the irritation may lead to personal fulfillment. You can't force growth in this alliance- go along with the changes. To beat the odds, change your routines.

Let me just clarify for the other answerer...Sagittarius is NOT an earth sign, but a fire sign.
And simple answer is in most cases they do not get along well in a relationship. first of all there is not much attraction...there may be at first but it will slowly fizzle. The reason this is, is because these signs do not respect each other. Sagittarius is an active, fiery, outgoing, burst of energy sign, while Taurus is a passive, laid back, somewhat shy, lazy sort of sign.
Taurus is very stubborn and Sag has a hard time putting up with this because Sag doesn't take crap from anyone. Let me tell you from firsthand knowledge there will be a lot of arguing going on in this relationship!!
Sagittarius is an explorer, hates to sit around doing nothing, and loves to flirt flirt flirt. Taurus is a homebody who is not an active type of sign. They would rather shop for new belongings than go skydiving and they are very jealous so they cannot stand when their partner flirts!!
My boyfriend is a Taurus and he cannot see eye to eye with any Sag...in fact my mother is a Sag as well as my best guy friend and they just do not understand each other at all. Sag see Taurus as lazy, no willpower and boring...while Taurus see Sag as over-energetic, too enthusiastic and just plain annoying.
There is a low possibility that a relationship between these two signs will last (but we all know anything is possible)

I laughed at this one as my Sun is Taurus, and my Moon, and my Rising, are in Sagittarius lol I guess I have learnt to understand and accept these differences listed below : ) after 43 years I guess I had no other choice lol
It is given a rating of 4/10
Taurus is a Fixed Sign and Sagittarius is a Mutable Sign. Taurus is stubborn; once their mind is made up, it takes a lot to convince them to change it. Sagittarius craves variety. If this urge to experience something new strays into the realm of experiencing new partners, Sagittarius had best beware. Taurus does not tolerate infidelity; if cheating occurs, Taurus will be deeply wounded and the relationship may not survive the strain. In turn, Taurus must give Sagittarius the freedom to enjoy other experiences and people (on a platonic level, of course!). Taurus can teach Sagittarius the benefits of a secure relationship; Sagittarius can show Taurus that flexibility is sometimes better than following a set, well-worn path. What's the best aspect of the Taurus-Sagittarius relationship? The new perspectives they can give each other once each partner becomes familiar with the ways in which they differ. Theirs is a stable and happy relationship once they understand and accept these differences.

The Taurus/Sagittarius match up can be intense! These signs are to known to cause some heat, but there are definite issues that can extinguish the fire. Sagittarius is an adventurer and likes to be in the middle of what’s hip and happening. Taurus is perfectly content staying at home curled up with a good book or snuggling in front of the TV. If these two find a happy middle ground – venturing out when Sag needs a little excitement and staying put when Taurus is feeling cuddly – they may just learn something from the other and balance out these personality differences.
2 hearts!

Actually, according to starlightastrology.com... Taurus and Sagittarius are NOT a match made in heaven!
This is what it says:
The trouble will start when these two fall in love because before that, as good friends Sagittarius would be good for Taurus, teaching Taurus to be more flexible and to broaden the horizons. Taureans hate change in relationships, while Sagittarius will find it hard to sustain a level of affection for any length of time. Sagittarius is an adventurer and loves the outdoors while Taurus is content to pursue indoor activities.
When Taurus refuses to join in with the Sagittarians sporting ways, he/she will find someone who will. There are few, if any natural domestic talents in Sagittarius (unless the stars are well placed) and the Taureans domestic abilities are not given a second thought. Sagittarius hardly notices the Taureans ability to keep or provide a comfortable home for him/her.
Sagittarius can take criticism and will even change just a little bit but he/she can never be tamed by Taurus, and fidelity is rare with the half man, half beast Sagittarian; the jealous nature of Taurus would be forever in an uproar over this. Constantly keeping up with Sagittarius both in and out of the bedroom would take a toll on Taurus.
Sexually, Taurus is expected to be very versatile, for Sagittarius will want to act out his/her fantasies which will appall the Taurean sense of propriety and conservative nature. One or two suggestions made by Sagittarius in the bedroom could kill their love almost immediately! This might make a great friendship but anything more is not advised. Not a match made in Heaven.

Taurus & Sagittarius
When Taurus and Sagittarius come together in a love affair, their connection can be incredibly passionate and steamy, but they must give themselves time to learn about the particular energy this relationship generates. They both have much to gain from their union! While Sagittarius thrives when they're constantly experiencing new people, places, foods and more, Taurus can be quite content with routine as it affords them the security they so prize. Early in the relationship, Taurus might tend to demand more commitment and stability than Sagittarius is ready to give, but if Taurus can learn to be patient, Sagittarius can definitely come to appreciate the comforts of hearth and home.
These two Signs approach life quite differently. Taurus tends to be sedate and practical, which offsets Sagittarius's restless demeanor. Sagittarius may have trouble with Taurus's seemingly dull complacency, and will try to rev Taurus up -- which is about as smart and works about as well as trying to spark a slow, steady Bull to action! (In other words, watch out for those horns!) Taurus actually has much to offer Sagittarius, though Sagittarius may have trouble admitting their need for a secure base. Sagittarius can bring lots of fun and adventure into Taurus's life.
Taurus is ruled by Venus (Love) and Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter (Luck). The Venus influence lends Taurus their love of beauty, luxury and sensual pleasures. The Jupiter influence is what marks Sagittarius as the Teacher of the Zodiac -- Jupiter is concerned with philosophy, higher learning, expansion, optimism, luck and travel. Together this combination of beauty and expansion, masculine and feminine energy is why these two Signs admire and sustain one another.
Taurus is an Earth Sign and Sagittarius is a Fire Sign. Sagittarius needs space to move around and flame brightly; Taurus, on the other hand, is down to earth and needs stability. Sagittarius relies on feeling and impulse to direct them through life, while Taurus is practical and concerned with efficiency. These approaches to life can either be complementary or sources of stress if the two Signs can't learn to understand and accept one another. As long as they both take care to reassure the other that the relationship is special and important (Taurus, especially, needs this reassurance), things will run smoothly between them.
