I make far less than that and I vote Republican for the simple reason that I don't trust the Democratic Party. Is the Republican party perfect ? Far from it but I'll take them over the American Socialist (Democratic) party every day of the week. As to why, here's a few reasons.
1. WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam all brought to us by Democrats.
2. Hillary and Bill tried to take over 1/7 of the nation's economy
(Health Care) with no Constitutional Authority.
3. I prefer to keep more of the money I labor for thank you very
much. Taxes are bad for the economy, besides I want to get
to that $600,000 a year
4. My dad has already paid taxes on his income and property,
why in hell should my brother and I be taxed again when we
inherit it ?
5. Why should I be taxed twice when I invest some of my hard
earned money into stocks and real estate ?
6. The Constitution is NOT a LIVING document, it has specific
a meaning NOT subject to the interpretation of Liberals (and
conservatives for that matter)who find it inconvenient to obey
it.
7. If the Democratic Party interpreted the 2ND Amendment like
they interpret the 1st Amendment the Gun Ownership
would be mandatory.
8. I'm tired of the Class Envy/Hatred the hypocritical Democrats
have against the wealthy in this country. Their solution is to
tax (Steal) from the wealthy and give it to those who vote for
them. Sounds like Socialism and vote buying to me.
9. I'm a college educated working home owner. Give me
someone truely better to vote for and I will.

Why would anybody who makes $5.15 an hour vote Democrat? Look, the pilgrims and those who followed didn't come over b/c the benefits were great or b/c of the guaranteed salary. It's all about which party provides the best opportunity for everyone. And right now, that's with the Elephants!

Why Republican? Let us see. Democrats lie about everything, they steal, they cheat, they will do and say anything to get their power back, they do not care about anyone but their self's, and the clincher? They are Liberal, which means that they are for everything I am against, oh yea, they have no idea about what to do other then attack their opponent's, and the only agenda that they seem to have is to destroy the economy, and the military. They are sick people, I mean in the head, and they need a brain transplant.

People like my mom, and my siblings vote Republican because they've worked their butts off to be poor or middle-class, and they don't want anyone to tell them how to spend their money. They also refuse to take government hand-outs, and happen to be very much against them.

In my opinion, most people vote republican for one issue. For instance they feel strongly about the republican stance on one issue such as abortion, immigration, gay marriage, security, etc.

Because they will afford me the opportunity, if I wish it, to work towards making that kind of money. The Democrats won't.
