Do you find that more and more conservatives are turning away from bush because they want to paint a newer picture of what they will present for the next election and the 2008 elections?

If conservatives are doing this, is it just a deception they are creating purposely so they can hold onto power? Do they know if they keep holding bush on a pedestal it will be harder for them to get more votes come election time?

Conservatives are slowly turning against Bush for many reasons.

The war in Iraq is the first issue. High deficts, education, etc.

He is a lame duck President. So, no need to be that close to him.

Looking from outside the US, it would be right minded (pardon the pun) for anyone to distance themselves from Bush.

He replaced Clinton who was economically the best President the US ever had.

Bush has destroyed the economy he was given and no one can be happy with his foreign policies.

It is not a question of being right but of the prosecution of his policies.

The right or the Conservatives have to show distance to his execution of power as the results of his actions are fundamentally poor.

Elections are about winning you must show that you will make things right to win and no one believes Bush will. So if you want to win you must distance yourself from Bush.
