lots of good music in the 80's, but I think there was more garbage put out in the 80's then any other decade because record companies were looking for sex appeal to sell the music and not so much on the talent...think of all of the one hit wonders that came out in the 80's and bombed afterwards...they looked great in the beginning of the age of videos, but couldn't hold there own when it came to actual talent...sure there were some bands who formed in the 80's who are still playing large venues, but not many...most have retired or fallen back to the club scene because they can't sell out larger venues...when I talk about sex appeal selling albums rather then talent remember the big Milli Vanilli scandal...I think I need not say anymore...cheers

For about half the decade, yes. Everything seemed to bottem out about 1985-86.

The best music was from the 60's, thats why they copy all the 60;s songs now, cause 60's was the best.

Big hair music rocks but I dont think any one decade is superior to the rest. Think of Led Zep, ACDC, Beatles, Stones etc...

yay! Madonna, Micheal Jackson, Paula Abdul, Tears for Fears and Metallica to name a few of my favorites! Listening to songs that you listened to 20 years ago always seem to bring back warm memories!
