Its probably because some people pronounce their words wrong. Epescially when it a different laungage. People say "wang" as a slang word for a penis. There probably was a lot of complaints about it. Maybe something that no one can misread. Like # 1 Chinese Restaurant. House of Good Chinese Food. The Chinese Wok.
