Hi Eclipse Owners / Enthusiasts,

I am looking to buy a Eclipse, and was browsing some of the websites (cars.com) and came across 3 body styles for the eclipse - convertible , coupe and hatchback. Now the convertible is the Spyder ofcourse which I am not interested in.

Interestingly I found that all the GT V6 models are listed as body type "hatchback" while the GS / RS are listed as "Coupe"...is there any difference in the body styles of the GT and GS models of the same year.?

Thanks in Advance

No differences in the body styles just some differences in the trim levels and accessories.

This has not something to do with the Eclipse yet to respond to your question. A Sedan is a 4 door. A Coupe is a 2 Door A Hatchback is a three (or 5) Door (no trunk, decrease back "hatch" opens to interior)

They look exactly the same, the only difference is the engine size, and if the engine has a turbo.
