sell your computer and cancel your internet service. That will save you some money. Then go to a temp agency and get a job. Try several agencies if you need to. Don't be so choosy about what the job is if you seriously need money. If you are looking for a hand out, there truly is no such thing. Times are tough all over.

I think you are probably having a hard time finding a job that you want.....that is different than having a hard time finding "a job". If you really want to work there are plenty of jobs out there. I'm sure walmart is hiring, or Kroger, or Wendy's, or a local construction crew could probably use someone to carry things or help with clean up if they don't need help with the building..etc....especially during the next couple of months everone needs help as it nears the holidays. Look harder and stop whining until you have tried EVERYWHERE and still cant find work. Then maybe I'll feel bad for you.

Go to every temp agency in your area. You'll be working within a couple of days. If you really need money take what every they have and you should get a paycheck in a week. I've heard of people getting temp. welfare even if they don't have children. I don't condone, but if you need to eat. Also, try your local church; most will give you food, so you won't have to spend any money on that. The other, if you own a home, Sell It before they forclose. There are many places that will take it off your hands, you'll get less than if you sold it yourself, but you won't have to worry about mortgage or a forclosure on your record and you'll have a little cash on hand. Also, if you don't have a skill, get one! So, this doesn't happen again.

We are living in hard times, so go to your local employment office and talk to a career counselor. He/she will "steer" you in the right direction . I was looking for an office job and the career counselor told me that they were only through an agency which is a contract and that I won't be working all the time, but I may never know. Sometimes they have long term, but it depends on yoru experience and skills. So go talk to one and they will help you.

Apply for everything - even if it's McDonalds or a gas station. At least you'll start getting some sort of an income, and you can continue your job search for a better paying position. Also, check with temp services and your local unemployment center. Good luck!

If you had an previous job, you can draw your unemployment from it. Try banks, department stores, book stores, temporary agents, resturants/fast food places, grocey stores. Post your resume on some of these jobs sites like careerbuilder, monster, hotjobs, dice, etc. Apply to places outside your area and closest to the state you live in. Best Wishes and Good Luck!

Spend your time filling out applications instead of on Answers. Go to the employment office in your county. They can provide you with job leads and agencies that can help you with your job search.

What kind of financial help do you need? Edit your question and give us more details.

I have a blog site that helps people get out of debt (see link below), if that will help.
