well actually im having the same dilemma as you...except im 15:P and yes i am still going trick-or-treating! haha umm you could go as a kitty cat therefor not childish and although u can make a kitty cat costume slutty looking you don't have to. umm...a bunny? a devil? an angel? those are my favourites because they are very easy to make up at home and just buy some ears or wings or w.e u need at the dollar store. If you end up being a cat just wear like black leggings with a black skirt and a black long sleeved top with no writing on it(if it has writing on it then put it inside out) and by a tail, ears, and a bow tie(if u want one) and then paint wiskers on your face and paint your nose black...u can even put long false eyelashes on if u want. With a devil you could probably wear the same thing but in red...u get the idea...just be creative!
Ive both boughten and made costumes over the years and ive always gotten more compliments on the ones i made up myself from stuff around my house then the ones from walmart or something...but ne ways...thats my oppinion...HAVE FUN!!! and stay safe:P

dont be a pirate like the last person said, too many people are being that. I think for your age you should be an artist. get some white biboveralls and splatter paint them. wear any old tee shirt under them and a smock over it. put some paint brushes in your pockets and maybe even a beret (hat) on your head and wear your hair up in a messy pony tail. oh and if anyone asks, an artist gave you this idea so its cool.

One year I was an oreo cookie. I wore all white and cut out two big cardboard circles that I painted to look like an oreo. Then I cut holes in them and wore one on each arm. The best part was that I carried an empty milk jug to collect my candy in.

well like that one person said, be one of your favorite characters. like last year i went as a SLYTHERIN STUDENT from harry potter, because i'm like obsessed with it, lol.

or if you read comics/manga at all, choose your favorite character and honor them by dressing up. it's called COSPLAY. most of you people probably have no idea what that is, but you dress up from a manga((japanese comic book)) character. but it doesn't have to be from anything specific.
