It depends on the situation. I will turn up the heat if I turned it to a low setting or turned it off completely. I will also turn up the heat if I have to take a shower or for any other reason I need to be undressed.

I will put on a sweater if the house is cold as a result of heavy traffic going in and out the door or if I am having work done on the house, (e.g. window replacement, furniture delivery)

C. I will deal with it if do not plan on being home long enough to enjoy the heat- Like if I have to come home for a moment to get something or to take a phone call and I expect to leave within 20 minutes or so.

I will put on

60-65 degrees in Alaska is colder than everywhere else!! lol
I personally turn up the heat a degree or two (so my husband doesn't notice), pull on my wooly socks and make sure the kids have socks on too. If it's 60 below zero (which happens in February every other year or so) I'd be building a fire in the fireplace to be taking the chill outta the air.

Our house is always 60 degrees or less, it is just personal choice. I guess if it bothered us, we would turn up the heat. We all like it chilly and even crack the windows in the winter to have cool air in the bedrooms.

First I put on sweater and socks (I ususally don't wear them), if after that I'm still chilly I turn up the heat a bit. My daughter puts on her blanket if she's cold, my husband never gets cold!

A. Turn the heat up

Sweaters don't always warm me up. Blankets aren't practical because I have chores to do. And we're not desperately short on cash so there isn't a real reason to keep it that cold.

B! I've been cold all day but I just throw a blanket around me and I'm fine. I seem to be the only one in my house who's cold so I leave the heating alone

B. Put on a sweater...or get a blanket.

My parents would probably be mad if I turn on the heat without tellingt them first, also because of the bills.

B and C. It's been as cold as 52 in my house so far this fall. I am waiting as long as I can before I light the pilot light on the heater. I use a small electric heater in the bathroom when I take a bath, but the cold really doesn't bother me. It's worth not having a gas bill.

depending on the situation b or c. if i was just a little chilly because the heater hadn't kicked on yet i'd just deal with it because if i did anything i'd be too hot in no time. if there were other people in the house and they wanted it to stay cool i'd go put on a sweater.

I'd answer B- why? Because my gas bills are outrageous and I don't like to pay $200/month for heating when i can wrap up in a soft blanket.
