My boyfriend lives in a small apartment in a fairly small town. In the past 24 hours, we have had toilets flushing on their own and other crazy things happening. Our dog has been growling and barking at absolutely nothing, yet she seems to see something. I went outside on the balcony to let her go to the bathroom, and I was locked out of the apartment and no one else was inside. I struggled with it for a few minutes and was finally able to get in rather easily. However, our dog was very fearful about returning. Does anyone think these are just coincidences? If not, what is there to do about it?

It sounds to me like there might be some poltergist activity going on there. You say the apartment is new. It is built what used to be an indian land is if that the case than you might be invaded by indian spirits but that a thought. Also said you get sick it might be to cool spots were the spirits are act.

This apartment being small was probably once an old house. We have a lot of them where I live. It is possible the house is settling unevenly in the ground, at a tilt, which may have caused the door to shut, if it was left open when taking the dog out, or you could have turned the lock on the handle of the door while turning it to open the door. Ive done that a lot. Dogs do act funny when the hear strange noises, their hearing is at least 100xs better than ours. Is there a new neighbor in the apartment, a guest, or another animal? Dogs also have a better sense of smell than humans, and she may be smelling an odd odor from another unit. She will act strangly towards any new, unfamiliar goings on in her home.
The toilets flushing could be many things. If the apartment is tilting, or the plumbing is very old, any vibration on the floor can carry to the toilet, and cause it to flush, especially if there is a washing machine going, a person running, or pounding on the walls or the floor. Hope this helps.
Or you can just say, we live in a haunted house! Your choice, lol, take care, and Happy Halloween!

It's not in the Pittsburgh PA area is it? My husband and his friend were lifted up and thrown out of an apartment there. When they moved in my husband started getting sick and the clocks wouldn't stay set on the right time. There was a Christmas ornament left in the top of a closet that they both saw and reached for at the same time, that's when they were both picked up and thrown out of the apartment by an invisible force. They took off and ran to a convience store nearby and told the clerk what had happened. The clerk told them that there had been a grusome murder there. A man and his family were killed over a drug deal. I totally believe my husband on this . He actually doesn't like to talk about it. So, no it's probably not a coincidence. Animals can pick up on this sort of thing as well.

there is almost always a logical explanation. Dogs have a much better sense of smell and hearing. He is probably smelling/hearing something you cannot. Something that is not paranormal. Sticky doors happen and toilets and plumbing behave oddly often times. (Get over to home repairs in answers and find out how to fix it). If it makes you feel better and safer do have the apartment blessed. You have to live there and be comfortable and relaxed in your home.

Invite God to come into the home and to bless it. If you go to each room and say a prayer, it won't continue. The only thing greater and stronger than negative energy is God.
Oh, and He WILL show when you call Him, no doubt about it.

Is it all happening at a certain time? If it was honestly happening to me I would get the hell out of there in a heartbeat and not think twice.

You need to burn some sacred sage and do a home blessing. Sounds to me like you have a bad spirit in the apartment.

I know this is going to sound corny, but I think you have a spirit on your hands. I don't know that it's evil, but it sounds like it doesn't want you there. It sounds silly, but when you can feel it's presence, just stand there and say "I know you don't want us here but wer're here to stay. There's nothing you can do that will change that so you need to move on."
