My old roommate loves to write. She loves things about the old days, Victorian style things. She recently moved to Italy and has just finished a book on a story for children. I am not sure what it is about. She is passionate about what women were like in the Victorian days and styles. She also like to put it in with her life experiences, good and bad. Try writing something that you are passionate about. What inspires you? Best wishes to you.

Why don't you try your local library, or look into taking a writing class at your local college? You did not say where you are from? But writing is a hobby that is found all over the world. I am sure if you are in Canada or Europe, you have classes available somewhere. First thing to look into is the local schools and check their websites or call them and see what they have to offer. You may even ask them on the phone if they know of a school nearby that offers a program for writers. Would be cheaper taking a class than flying to another country.
