Just want some advice?

I was suppose 2 get my period on the 23rd and it has still not come on the 25th I took a dollar store test and it was negetive should I retest now or should I wait. I have been having cravings, some headaches, discharge, sore breast. Just wanted some advice from people who know what is going on.

Here's the tricky part - try to relax. Stress can delay your period from starting.

Something that might make you feel a little better - a woman that taught my daughter bought one of those dollar tree ($1) hpt and it came up positive the first time she took it. When it came time for me, I bought one too and had the same experience...positive!

No way to tell if you are pregnant or not without taking another test.

My advice is to take another test in three days if your period still hasn't come. Use first-morning urine, and don't drink any liquids a few hours before bed, to get the most accurate response.

If you can afford it, I would buy a FIRST RESPONSE brand pregnancy test because it is one of the most sensitive tests on the market. Whatever test you take, follow the instructions very carefully.

The only way to know for sure is to first take another test - maybe one that costs more than 99 cents and then go see a prenatal doctor for a full screening. Stress can also be a factor in a missed period.

I would go ahead and schedule an appointment with your OBGYN. They can do a blood test that will answer your question much more quickly and accurately than a urine test this early in the cycle.

I would wait a few days and take another test...the symptoms you mention are also symptoms of PMS for a lot of women. At least they were for me. Go ahead and take another test and if it is negative and you still haven't gotten your period, call your doc for a blood test.

retest
