On some cars there is a black thing attached to the door at the a-pillar. It's difficult to describe but if you're standing outside the car facing the front door, it's on the door towards the top/front part where the window goes up into the top groove. It's not on all cars and it's kinda 'D' shaped (with the D lying on it's straight side) and is about 1 inck long and about 1/4 inch high.

It's there to guide the window into the window track.
If it wasn't there, and the window, for some reason wouldn't go into the track properly, it's very possible the window will break.

left over assembly tab from factory robot , its where the machine applies pressure to insert gaskets onto the door, good for keeping girls asking questions too(keep it up your learning)
