I was expecting it to be another teen flick, but the movie has a really strong message too. I remember getting excited over the OST of "Fame" so seeing my 8 year old bounce around makes me smile. Maybe everyone should spend time doing something fun every day instead of stressing over everything? Isn't life too short? And in case you're wondering, yes, my life is hectic and full of disasters so I'm not saying it's a cure, just a bit of light relief!

I have seen the adverts but not bought it yet. My daughter is 5 and we have Disney Princess CD on everytime we go in the car. We are the same-sing along and have agreat time, other drivers must think we're loopy. Thing is that when she is not in the car and I'm on my way to work, I still listen to it and end up singing Disney songs all day in front of my workmates. Will be buying High School Musical tomorrow after reading your question. Thank you!

Same here! When I get stressed out I play music and the world gets drowned out. I lose contact to my surroundings and control of myself. It's like a short remedy for me. I shut the door and crank up the tunes and no sooner you'll see my dancing and singing the words. And embarrassed that someone just walked in on me. But anyway you're not the only one on this.

No it doesn't, but then I didn't buy a high school musical CD for your son.
Seriously I don't tend to sing to CD's, I prefer to hear the originals, But I like a lot of both new and old music, The film/ musical called something like The 10 things I hate most about you is great.

Can we sing "Were all in this together!" Hell Yeah, my daughter who is 4 loves to watch them sing and dance adn we have a good time too trying to do what they do and since its Disney the themes are easy to talk about especially doing what you want to do rather than doing what others think you should do.

I love number 19: "You can send telepathic messages to your mom to tell her to pick you up just as you're finishing your breakup song with your boyfriend." I was thinking the same thing while watching the movie.
