There is a vast difference between choking and not living up to potential. If the Tigers lose to the Cards, the better team ended up winning and it wouldn't be a choke. Now, if the Cards lose the next 3 to the Tigers, then that is a choke.
What the Indians did is not show up for the 1st two months and unlike Minnesota, they didnt have the pitching to get them back in it.
And yes, I am a believer!
"Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies."

Whom ever said a team trailing in the world series 3-games-1 has never come back is an idiot.. It's been done four times in the Major Leagues
For one, The Tigers have done it before, ironically, they trailed the 1968 World Series 3-games-1 against.. The Cardinals.. and came back to win it.. The last time the feat was achieved, was one of my favorite World Series ever, when "we are Family' Willie Stargell and the Pittsburgh Pirates, down, three games to one against the Baltimore Orioles... they closed the door on the Orioles, who scored 24 runs in four games against the Pirates, and two runs the next three games..
The Tigers certainly have the pitching to become the fifth team in history to do it.. realisticly, it won;t happen.. But If Verlander pitches a gem tonight, that takes Rogers, pine tar and all, to game six, Those are two games the Tigers, if they pitch like they are capable, could very well win.. and then it's game seven, where anything can and will happen..

Garett M. as bleak as the situation looks for our beloved Tigers all we have to do is remember "68" and that bad A-- Bob Gibson. After he struck out 17 Tigers in the first game we all thought, this guy is unbelievable. The Reds consequently went on to 3-1 advantage, and theeeeeen BINGO. Guess what happened?

first of all, the Indians had no chance this year anways, so i don't know you got that they 'choked' because they haven't made the playoffs for quite awhile. And also there is no way the tigers will win with their hyped up starting rotation and bullpen. CARDS WIN TODAY! (although i am a yankees fan)
