It seems strange to buy a larger size, but I have found that if I give in to comfort and not the manufacturer's size indications, it is soooooo much easier to pull on the panty-hose.
Also, when you wash your pantyhose, put them in a protective laundering bag (a lingerie bag) --it's worth purchasing if you have to ---and HANG the pantyhose to dry. You'll get more stretch out of them and they will last longer.

Roll the hose down to the ankle and roll up your body. Also buy the right size. If you need long, get long. Alot of the pulling and tearing is because you need a bigger or longer size. The crotch doesnt meet your crotch....tear. Also before you put them on give them a good stretch. Pull on the legs and stretch the crotch. Give them a little exercise before you put them on. Experience. Even though I am short, I had to go longer because they panty hose tore when they didnt meet my crotch.

Those latex gloves at the doctor's offices work great. Next time you go ask them for a pair, (or you can buy them at pharmacies, but who needs 50 of them?)
They're great.

before you put them on... take them out of the package, and spray them with aerosol hairspray... (not tooo much) then roll them all the way down until you get to the toe area. put them on your toes and gently pull them up...

Good luck!
