taking over my bro-in-laws car payment?

i am taking over my brother in laws car payment. can i transfer all the bank paper work under my name? how do i go to this? i will take over his car payment but i would like to have all the ligal paper under my name. what are the step for me to do so? what do i need to do? thank you in advance for your reply.

You should purchase the car from your BIL for the amount that is remaining on his loan, get your own loan in your own name, pay him the money, he pays off his own loan, and signs the title over to you.
