I truly doubt these female are anywhere near rich...they sound like they are just trying to act the part...would you really REALLY want one of these wanna-be's for your wife?
some of the most wealthy people I know don't have to play the snob!
Think this way...Fred Smith=federal express moves mail for a living!
A good friend who is a multi millionaire spends his free time drawing chalk graffiti on the sidewalk! And hands out coffee/donuts to the homeless.
Snobbery should be dead..and to you females who look down on someone for what they do..shame, you NEVER know if this guy has a huge inheritance waiting for him...or is the more rich person in other ways, like bringing you breakfast in bed, or flowers just because...

It depends just how much younger. Anyway if it's 100% true love, and she's about the age of 18, there's nothing wrong with it. But 99% of the time it isn't. It is 100% shallow love. Or even if ONE is really in love, it's not true love that will amount to anything unless it's mutual. It's looked down upon mainly, because often the older man could be the younger womans ******* father. And you should not be attracted to someone young enough to be your daughter. Also because it's assumed to be shallow, as it almost always is. He loves the young body and she loves the money. Just pathetic, and a waste of time. And partly because the two people in the relationship are so delusional. Personality wise and looks, are very different things. IF a woman likes her father, she'll want to date someone who REMINDS her of him. If she hates him, she'll look for a guy opposite of him. There is a difference between wanting to date someone who has traits similar to her fathers that she likes, and dating a man that is old enough that he COULD be her father. If age is how you define your father, that's sad. And you should not be attracted to him either. Thank you for proving the delusional point.

The social scientists once thought that when woman attained status and resources that they would chose men in a more arbitrary fashion; they were wrong. Women who have high status and resources want men of higher status and resources, on average. This is found even among the most ardent feminists. It is possible that a rich woman will look on you with favor ( a commitment; not just a one night stand ), but the probability is not as great as you may hope for.

I'm a woman in Atlanta who is, shall we say, independently secure.

There was a time when *I* did some hard work for a living, too, including waitressing and stockroom clerk (moving furniture around). I took pride in my work.

Granted, nowadays I move a lot more paper than bedroom suites, but I will always respect people who work hard!

(...and, secretly, there *is* something about a guy's sweat...!)

Rich men look down on or use women. The rich gals do not have a monopoly on this by any means.

By the way - they should respect you because what you do is an honest living. And you've got a job and aren't sucking up to them (at least I hope you're not)

PS nonofyo - I make a very nice salary -much more than most men AND I do it without removing a single article of clothing, thank you.

No it is not a shameful act, you are just around some very self centered gold digging heifer's. Ask them what they do for a living, chances are they are not employed with high level degrees under their belts. They are just in search of the doctor, lawyer and a free ride. God bless

Jesse - those women aren't rich - they're golddiggers. They're looking for a rich guy so they can manipulate him into spending his money on them.

They probably don't think you have a lot of money, so they can't use you financially.

Count your blessings - and say a prayer for the rich guys they will try and use financially. At least you aren't going to get ripped off.

Because they can't show you off to their friends. They're shallow and what other people think is what's most important to them. You're probably a nice guy, but not worthy of showing off. I mean isn't it a lot more attractive to say "Here's my boyfriend Tom, he's a doctor" rather than, "Here my boyfriend Jesse, he moves machinery"
