diameter= circumference divided by Pi
diameter= 20 inches divided by 3.14
diameter= 6.36942675159235

Circumference=(pi)*r^2
Diameter=2r
so 20=(pi)*(D/2)^2 or
[(20/pi)^1/2]*2=D

the formula is 2 by pi by the radius

circumference = pi * diameter

therefore:
diameter = circumference / pi
if pi = 3.142 (approximately)

then:
diameter = 20 / 3.142
= 6.365 inches

C=2(pi)r, where r is the radius. This is equivalent to C=(pi)d, where d is the diameter.

So if C=20, 20=(pi)d, so d=20/(pi).

C=(pi)d
20=(3.14)d
d=6.37

diameter circumference/pi
So d = 20/pi = 6.36 in. (approx.)

hey.
yeh i guess its easy
use the formula:
c=(pi)d and u no c=20 inches so put in the eq. andddd
d=20inches divided bi pi(which is 3.14.....)

wow i feel well cleva lol.

hope tht helps

cicumference=2*pie*radius
2*radius=diameter
therefore
circumference=pie*diameter
diameter=convert 20inches into centimetre or metre and divide by 3.14
