People tend to belief they are Honourable, their causes are Honourable, they couldn't believe a God which saw them as being otherwise, so men believe God is on their side, if they believe in a God.
God, if it/they exist, probably wouldn't prevent all the disasters in the world, because if God is, God knows that compared to eternity, the time spent during our lives, is but a fragment of a moment in time, or that which stands for change, if not time. No matter what people suffer during their lives, if they were thereafter to spend their existence in great joy in an afterlife for ever, it is a small price to pay. I am an agnostic, but I can understand why God wouldn't interfere. I do not accept any religion, because none of them offers what I would like to happen after death, what I think is fairer than any religion, I wish I could believe what I hope.

War is a necessary step for peace. Still in most cases God blessed nothing, God was simply used as a justification for war. It is easier to blame the war on God anyway, then no one will come looking for your head when the war goes terribly wrong. It was really a strategic move.

The human ego causes war, and then justifies it in the name of a god, which is a concept which humans have created/identified in order to give meaning or purpose to the reason as to why humanity exists.
Somehow, if it is spiritually ordained, then that condones war. Which is insane.

Taking the standpoint that there are Gods, I would have to say -
Gods don't approve war - what proof do you have? Just because the people say their God approves doesn't make it true - as I expect they will find out when they finally meet their maker!

you dont destroy anything. you dont get anything.without difference of opinion, right things cannot come out. it is a chain?
you cannot say war is bad. to get justice, war is essential.
innocents are crushed for nothing. when you drive, you would have killed so many innocent creature. there are unseen killings for production of useful things.
so bother not about the wars ; if it comes to you , face it or run away. still you will live and die like any other creature.

Because they are constructs of people who thought they needed such justifications for going to war.

That's like telling me the Tooth Fairy blessed me for hating my fellow man...makes no logical or rational sense. I fight my fellow man as retaliation, retribution, protection and sometime self-serving reasons.

As far as the God of Jacob, it was considered, biblically, as dispensational...
Religion has been the cause of more bloodshed than anything else in this world.
Both sides of a battle pray before the fight.
Most "religions" preaches violence as a way of life... a way to exact justice on their wrongers.

Ah I can see it now... a whole party of men wearing togas and casino visors over their turbans sitting on clouds, laughing, drinking, stacking their chips and making amusing footie style rhyming songs about each others little simple-minded humans.
Now we've got sliced bread and ipods what else have they got to do?
