I have been in Chapel hill for a while but I haven't found one of those places that you go to when you just want a good dessert. I know there are plenty in Durham but I have yet to find a good bakery style place in Chapel Hill. Restruants that have good desserts would be helpful as well. TIA

a place called " A taste of Haven" located downtown. They serve "home" baked deserts. cakes,pies, fried ice cream lots of very good stuff

I've never eaten there, but I've heard Mama Dip's has excellent, "down-home," country desserts as well as "old fashioned" country food. I've seen her on the Today Show and PBS.
