When there is unease in the world people usually blame the leaders. Never themselves of course.

Approval Ratings are not that accurate. Although you do make a good point.
I think this is perhaps the worst president that has ever held office. As one question: What has this guy accomplished since he took office... not much. No impeachment processes in the wind, and this guy has some impeachable offenses. No "knocking" the president, while pre-911 that was all that people could do (bushims, idiotic statements, dumb answers, and on....). Now, noone criticizes him. War in Iraq is bad, but noone says - "We were lied to for the reasons to go into Iraq... he did the lying"
My approval rating on this guy can basically be summed up by his action -- Too little too late president.
The fact of the matter is that people that like Bush or approve of his actions have either profited or are as ignorant as he is. Spoiled, arrogant, and simply mean spirited son of a beautch! I voted for Gore, I wonder how the world would be now if that man had entered the White House.
Now for all of you pro-bushies out there. Get your bibles and pray that people dont do too much research on this guy when he leave s the White House, cause if they find half of what I think he has done, we are in for some serious congressional hearings.

If you look at long term historical statistics, Bush has the lowest approval ratings of any American President, coming close only to President Nixon who resigned under great scandel. For Bush's approval ratings to be this low, is absolutely shameful and frankly embarrassing. He is the President of the "Greatest Nation on Earth" and yet continues to lie, and humilate this country to the rest of the world.
I think what you will find, on Nov 7, there will be a change in the House of Representatives to show the President that the country wants things to change.
On the other hand, I don't think you can use the French statistics as a litmus when comparing to the US. We are both very different nations, very different cultures and political beliefs. It's just apples and oranges.

I am not a supporter of Bush, but I am insulted by such a proposal. do you honestly think that is a good idea? and not all who support his so called policies are bigoted neoconservatives, some may follow do to religious beliefs or other personal values. You don't need to criticize these people, causing them to resent our leader probably more than they already do. You are also giving many conservatives a reason to dislike the democratic party, which I'm assuming you also are a member of. It is because of ideologies such as this that make me want to disassociate myself with this group. Sadly we basically live in a two party system so I suppose I will just have to suffer the idiots that ruin it for all other members of our party. Thanks a lot! I think you need to be a little kinder because you should just be happy that Obama won, and stop hurting others who might not have our same beliefs. Seriously just cool it with the name calling, its not kind and you are being a perfect example of the liberal we all love to hate... including myself!

This is hilarious. 43% is a horrible approval rating. Clinton was in the 60's during that whole monica scandal. 43 is about as high as bush has been in months.

I don't believe those reports. I don't have a problem with Bush as a person, but as a president, I think we could do better. We need a better plan as far as this war/conflict goes. It makes no sense to me to keep deploying soldiers to help build their country when ours is in need of some things. I say take care of your home before going into anothers.

We have one advantage the french don't, and that is Americans criticize and whine about everything and anything and we have more idiots doing polls than you can shake a stick at. The silent majority is still silent and watching. The sun comes up and sets every day. Life goes on.

I think you have that poll number a little high. I'm surprised that he has been able to stay in the 30's given what an absolute abysmal screw up Dictator Dumbya is.

People blame Bush and do not realize that he is just a figure head. Congress and the senate make the final decisions. He can veto and sign all the bills he wants, but in the end the decision is not truly his.
