Im currently using a firewall right now but to me Im not sure if it is a good one.I would like to know what are some of the best free firewalls.whenever I connect to my firewall a warning comes up about trojans.Im thinking it is the firewall itself.can somebody please tell me the best firewalls to use without dishing out so much money.thanks.

windows xp has one as long as you have sp/2 installed also routers have a built in nat firewall
zone alarm is a good free download

a good router hides everything behind it, which is a good start, that in tandem with XP firewall is sufficient, a trojan virus will not be removed by a firewall, only will prevent some of its bad behavior, remove the trojan with a good anti-virus program, if you like free try avg by grisoft... http://free.grisoft.com

I recommend AVG as an anti virus, although eTrust's 12 month free trial is excellent (I'm using it and am extremely impressed).
If you need other programs, go for Zone Alarm firewall, AVG anti spyware (formerly Ewido) and SpywareBlaster.
If you click on the names in that list I gave you and it will take you to the official download site.
Please ensure that you keep them all updated for full protection and check for any updates when you first download them.

the best firewall is the one you allready have it the others are just fakes don't trust them!they just tell you that they protect your computer but they let mallware programs to enter into your comp!
