credit check for an apartment in va?

hello, my friend is looking for an apartment; however, she has an eviction on her credit report because of her brother. does anyone know of any apartment complexes in either hampton, virginia beach, or norfolk, or suffolk, or newport news that does not do a credit check on personnel wanting an apartment. She is also in the military.

as for that eviction thing. on her credit report it says that it was judgment satisfied; however, she found out that that was some sort of mistake or that they are still asking her for money for something else.

Why was the brother evicted? Was she living there at the time? If the brother was evicted for non-payment, there's not alot she can do about it except dispute it with the credit reporting agencies if she was not living there at the time. She may have a leg to stand on if the landlord never served her notice to pay up what the brother did not pay. She can also explain to the management what happened in that situation and say that it was a mistake that she cosigned for her brother. She should have some kind of evidence that she never lived there, as well.

she is probably out of luck. now a days everyone does credit checks, they are so easy to do and save lots of trouble.
