I think in general that it is a good brand. My personal experience though is not good. I bought a laptop and a printer from them and over the next couple of months saw the fedex dude 17 times!! Will I buy from them again?? NO!! I probably was that one in a thousand that had a bad experience though. Who knows?

I have only heard good things about Dell though. When I tell my horror stories about HP everyone always tells I should've went with Dell. I think they are priced about the same but I hear the tech support with Dell is really good. HP's tech support, which I know very very well, got stuff done for me, but it was very difficult. I couldn't really understand anyone on the other end of the line with HP.

Best of luck with your new comp.

HP used to be a really good brand, but now I think you might be better off with Dell. I did own a HP Pavilion and the only problem with it was parts...you could only use HP parts and they were really expensive. Whether you buy Dell or HP check out their websites. You will probably get a better deal that way.

Generally they are a bit more expensive than Dells, but the quality is about the same, so usually I recommend going with Dell. Dell is offering AMD right now on their E521 line, which is a very good value.

yeah there ok but my advice is to either get a mac or build the computer yourself, it would be alot cheaer and the quailty would be alot better (depending on the compents you choose of course) than that prebuilt trash.
