My wife is 12 weeks into her pregnancy. She is starting to have bouts of extreme irrationality, irritation, anger, and violence. It seems as if she is looking to fight with me. She will keep pushing and get more angry the more I try to defuse or resolve the situation. I ask about therapy but she says I just bring it up when she's mad to get out of dealing with her. I want to help my wife calm down and I don't want any more bumps and bruises either.
Please help...

also not saying anything or getting up and walking away when things get heated drive her out of her mind. If I cater to her she thinks I am blowing her off. If I deffend my case she just goes furtther. In any case I end up angry too. I don't want to resent her, but I'm starting to.

All I have to say is Hormones SUCK. I cried about everything in the beginning. Oh and road rage?! Oh man I could have killed a few people if the opportunity arose. I'm sorry you're wife is so upset. You deserve a lot of respect for being supportive. Like my Father told my Husband... It will all pass soon.

i found that during my pregnancy i would get flustered and irritated a lot more easily. i work in customer service in a call center and most days i would feel that everyone i had spoken to that day was an idiot. i could literally feel the blood rushing to my face when i got upset. it was an uncontrollable emotion but i had to control my actions. your wife is going through some really odd hormone changes now. try to be supportive but if your wife can't control impulses to wreac physical harm on you, that is an issue that needs special attention. try getting her a punching bag or a damnit doll. she and you may find it silly at first but it will help your bruises.

you have to understand that she is pregnant so she will not always be rational . She has a million times more hormones running through her system. I'm 11 weeks and find myself insanely angry at my husband and at the same time I'm thinking what is my problem. I'm not mad at him but I get a hormone rush. It's hard to catch yourself. Just think of her having the worlds worst PMS. ALso my sister has a slight chemical imbalance that she doen't need medication for untill she got pregnant. The hormones mixed with her chemical imbalcne and almost made her manic.
But just try to be understanding and do what my husband does. He walks away. he won't talk to me or anything. It makes me mad and he says it's hard for him but he won't let me bait him. Good luck!!!

I was like that too, i thing is the raging hormones that make you go crazy (I've never been like that at all) So my hubby just understood he needed to help me with stuff around the house and things like that so that I wouldn't go nuts (the fights were pretty much about it) eventually he just picked up all he needed to say when I'm out of control : "yes darling, whatever you want darling, however you like it darling"...I never beated him tough.

Fox information treats Mexicans like risky invaders that must be stoped in any respect cost. >they're invaders, they're risky, and they must be stoped. They call President Obama names like Communist, Dictator & A Fascist. > He’s a socialist, and if we enable him, he’ll develop right into a dictator. They spew this dirt 24/7 to lower than pressure-out, unemployed, determined people and performance this taken aback look on their faces even as 13 immigrants lay lifeless on the floor. > do not have any worry, they’ve yet to construct a gun with a 12,000,000 round skill. well i wouldn't say normal, but i'm 36 weeks and i just have a bad and short temper- being pregnant doesn't help- trust me!! i would tell u that it's hard and frustrating and even a little overwhelming sometimes to be pregnant but u must talk to her about what issues she might be going through or how she feels overall. don't let her treat u like a piece of garbage either.

I can't say whether this is normal behavior or not because I personally haven't experienced it. However, every pregancy is different. I've heard about women being very emotional and sensitive, but not violent. Just support her and be there for her as much as you can. Also, ask your doctor about it too.

No, she needs to see a doctor. Often women are moody due to the change in hormone level but it should not be uncontrollable or violent.
