Wow, that's not a bad list. At all. Its a tie between The Cure, Pixies, Joy Division, Echo And The Bunnymen, and The Shins. Wow, thats a big tie. I guess Ill narrow it down more to The Cure, Joy Division, and Echo And The Bunnymen

I don't know how "indie" she is, but Regina Spektor's new single "Fidelity" says it all for the one you love, without being too mushy or corny. And she has the cutest little voice!!
