what tool would you use to put a tiny hole in a bead?

I'm trying to make a couple necklaces for my mom and sister and I bought these gemstones and i'd like to know what tools can I use, purchase to make a hole in them??

You can get very very fine drill bits for that type of thing, they're specially designed so you dont need a big drill to operate them, they are a hand held device - you can get them at hobby shops, or model making shops.
