Sad to say, its obvious that we have a negative nature. Humans are inclined to do wrong. I believe we do this because we think we can control of our lives better by ourselves.

We as humans try to be something we are not, perfect. You see our logic is flawed. We don't see that trying to reach perfection we ultimately bring imperfection upon ourselves, because nature is a balance between the two. Then since we are a part of nature we must follow the course of balance nature has created. Humanity needs to strive for balance, not just one side or the other. If one keep picking either black or white, then we will ultimately end up with what we started; nature keeps the balance by answering one with the other. So why don't we realize perfection through imperfection instead? Humanity is crazy, still you probably already knew that. Of course, that is from us just trying too hard to be sane right?

As long as we regard paper (money) to be the best thing in the world we will regress!
And being a hypocrite is just a mechanism people use to hide their real self from the world. Because, maybe, they think that the world will not accept them as they are!

It is IN our nature to be a hypocrite, but it is not necessarily any given person's nature. Somewhere IN our nature is the capacity for everything from ultimate good to ultimate evil. Why do so many people seem hypocritical? Two reasons. One, we often publicly state ideals that we fail to live up to. But they are our ideals. Even if we fail them, they are still worthwhile ideals. If we fall short, at least we had set goals to fall short of. The Media and the public that feeds them seem to demand inhuman perfection from public figures. That's why politicians can't say anything real when they speak. It could come back to haunt them and make them look hypocritical. The second reason has to do with grey areas. If we express things in black and white terms, but in reality, we are looking a grey world, we are going to seem hypocritical when we match our simple, absolute statements to an imperfect, very complex world.

Yes, people are hypocrites by nature, but can certainly overcome that.

We decline the offer because it is a lot easier to just not think about things and let other people do the intellectual and moral heavy lifting.

Not all people regress. Just the ones who seek material gain or power over others.

Those two corrupting influences have created enormous amounts of hypcrisy.

I think people's perceptions of themselves are generally off. People aren't impartial judges of themselves and overlook things they might not overlook in others.

Plus, people might do something they say is wrong but they have a "good excuse" for doing it. When they see someone else doing the same thing they assume it is just because they are bad people.

hm, i think that it could be, or possibly calling it human nature would simply suggest its ok. i wouldn't want to give any excuses, but it would be nice. :p i've fallen to hipocracy a time or two. i think its easy to if its something you don't think about. little things that maybe you've spoken against but vaguely. once recognized i believe that if accidental its rectified. blatantly disregarding your previous opinion only for your own purposes goes beyond human nature in my belief. :p

I do not think that we all decline and regress. I surely hope not.

Technology does much of our conscious descisions, so we are torn. Our responsibilities have changed since going to the water well, making sure our brothers and sisters do their chores. So we get lazy and blind of what we should do verses what we can do.
