Does anyone have a concert that was not average and worth raving about? Any genre...

I see a lot of concerts but usually like to stick to the smaller venues. This year I did see Beck at a pretty big place - but it was spectacular. He only played for a little over 1 1/2 hrs, but you couldn't complain because he put so much in to it. He had marionettes done up like all the band members and people operating them live on stage. They did everything the band members did, and even changed instruments when they did. If you were close enough (I was) you could see the small puppets, the band and the puppets projected bigger than life size on the big screen.

It was so cool and hysterical too. It was unbelievable the amount of detail they went to. At one point they brought a dinner table out and had a waitress serving all of the band member’s food while Beck got out his acoustic guitar and sang a few slower songs. (The puppets also ate dinner at a table and were waited on). Then the band burst into a whole stomp/Blueman group type thing where they made music with their glasses, silverware and plates. It was really really good. The most entertaining rock concert I have been to. You had good music, a cool puppet show, live music video and comedy all at once. I'm sure he did something different for each City but in Chicago because of the windy city nick name, he had a taped thing of the puppets going around to popular landmarks and being blown around. You had to see it, but it was funny. Beck never disappoints. I took a friend who was not that big on him and now absolutely loves him.

My top three concerts would have to be Van Halen, a couple years ago, George Strait, last year, and then probably Collective Soul, everytime I saw them. I've seen Aerosmith a couple times, too, but you see them once, you've seen them every single time. I didn't even go to see them, I went to see Jackly.

well I have been to only 2 and the best one I went to was Def Leppard, they totally rocked. The other concert was a waste of money and they totally sucked and that concert was Queensryche or however it is spelled.
