find a good counselor and support group. they will know best how to advise you. you will be with people who support and care about you. i hope you have a loving and supportive family who understand what you're going through. you are going to have some struggles along the way to finding your true self. don't give up, you'll get there eventually. you might try doing some on-line research for support also. best of luck to you.

While I understand that there are individuals in this forum who believe that they are helping you by encouraging you to jump immediately into drastic surgical procedures, please think carefully about your situation before undergoing anything permanent, such as hormone therapy. If you start taking hormones, you will PERMANENTLY alter your voice and body. Now, that may very well be what you want, and if you reach the conclusion that a sex-change is for you, than go for it. But please talk to a therapist, your parents, your friends, whoever it is you trust, so that you can assess this issue for youself, without the help of people who have surgically altered themselves. This is a deeply personal issue and you shouldn't be swayed by anyone. I wish you the very best of luck.

well as you probably know there are some things doctors can do about this now. if you are serious, but before you can get to that point you have to go to a counselor. That is the first step. I wish you the best of luck, good news there is something you can do about this, bad news it is not going to be easy and it is going to take a lot of mental work.

Start with some counseling to get it all out on the table. . .we're not experts here, seek professional assistance and perhaps some GLBT group in your area so that you can have some peer influence as you go through whatever process you take.

Hi
May i ask how old you are? You should wait a little if you're younger and then once you're old enough talk it over with your parents/guardians and a counselor... you should always follow your heart... don't let anyone else make a decision for you because you have to feel comfortable with yourself my dear..Good luck :)

Read the book Luna by Julie Ann Peters. It deals with exactly what you are asking. It is a great book! Try it.
