American Quarter Horses. They are almost the full package for anything that you want to do. Most of them have a lot of cow sense so that makes them good for ranches and roping. They are good with quick runs like barrel racing and pole bending. They can be short and stalky which can make a good cutting horse with the cow sense. They can also be fairly tall which also makes a good roper but if you ride english can make a good jumper. To me. they seem like they learn quicker than most horses, but thats just my opinion.

I had a hanoverian/Tb cross. He was just the right size and build. Not too large as the warmbloods sometimes are. The TB in him made him game for anything but not too TB hot. He really was a sweet guy. Lots of get up and go but level headed enough to know when and how to behave. Always a pleaseure to ride. He spent his last ridable years as a pony club 'school master'. Anyone could ride him and feel succesful.

I used to own an appy, but I think I am a big fan of lipazans (I don't think I spelled that right). I love large horses, they make me feel superior when I ride them around the barn. Plus I like having a horse that is large and in charge since I am really short and small.

I have always had quarter horses and like them because they are sure footed and are very useful for both work and play. Now when it comes to appearance I think an arabian is absolutely beautiful.

Arabs are gorgeous, they are so flighty and unpredictable, just how i like em! my first horse was a palomino, so any breed in that colour i will have a soft spot for, i currently own a pacer (not sure of exact breeding must have TB in him) hes bonkers, when hes scared or showing off he'll start pacing so fast, he once beat an 17.2hh eventer who was galloping when he was pacing..!

My favourite breed of horse is the Arabian. Not only are they the oldest known breed of horse, they are beautiful, graceful, strong, fast and of great endurance. But I like them most for their intelligence. They are smarter than most other breeds and you have to smart to deal with them.

Saddlebred. I have had several over the years and loved each one. Every one of them went from show ring to trail. Several of them were even good with the kids.
