I know a girl, she's kind of....'out there'. Anyways, she brought a book of songs yesterday to school. They are depressing, majorly. My friend and I today were around her and she was saying how she was moving next week. We asked where, she said 'let's just say I'm going into a deep,deep,deep...sleep'. Anyways, we figure she's trying to commit suicide, at least that's what she lets on. We told a teacher, but now my heart can't stop beating. I don't really know her and I know that what she does is her own problem/responsibility. So why do I feel so bad?

I wouldn't feel bad, you told a teacher and that is all you can really do. If someone really wants to kill themselves they will do it. She is having some kind of problem and that was her way of reaching out for help. She may or may not be serious about killing herself. One thing for sure is this girl needs help with whatever is bothering her. If the teacher has done nothing, tell the school counseler. Perhaps this girl just needs someone to talk to. A professional would be better for her along with family and friends support.

Don't feel bad no matter what. You took your step by telling someone and that is all you can do.

You are probably just worrying that maybe you were wrong, but if you are right then you might have helped to save her life. If she is considering suicide then you did the right thing. She needs help.

If only we'd all have compassion for each other. Tell more than a teacher. Tell someone that will do something for her. Save her life.
