First of all -- have you turned on the utilities yet? That is the FIRST thing when going to a new residence.
Next: Make sure that you have your necessary items -- did you check to see if the Fridge is working, the stove/oven, the Dishwasher, and the appliances?
Then: do you have a Household Toolkit -- at a minimum -- power drill, hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, anything that you can use to tighten things, fix things, do the small maintenance stuff yourself.
Do you have your yardwork tools? You do not necessarily need most of the fancy stuff at first -- how much mowing do you need to do around the home? Is it in a zone for snow (therefore, snow shovel is needed), Garden Tools (shovel, rake, hoe, garden hoses, hose reels, etc). Lawn/Leaf Bags for your lawn trash -- and your Garbage Bin.
There is no need to buy a lawn tractor if you only have a 1/2 acre or smaller lawn to mow -- likewise, if you live in a zone where snow is rare, there is no need for snow equipment (except for those of us who are Military (now Retired) who were stationed at many different environmental zones!), but you do need some basics.
An all-purpose thing to have is flashlights for emergencies (anywhere), Tarps, lawn stakes, tie-down cords, some nylon cords (for emergencies), and a wheelbarrow (to load up and roll your lawn trash to the curbside for pickup).

why don;t you have a house warming party and see what presents you get. Failing that I'd say a mug, teabags+kettle, extension leads, hifi to set up asap to keep you going whilst unpacking and local takeaway menu's because after all that moving you wont b bothered to cook!
