Background story: I had a Cousin that I was very close to even though we grew up in two different states and he was 11 years older then me. My grandparents was always taking me to Joplin, Mo. I would follow my Cousin around he would go outside and work on the car and I would be right behind him just like a shadow in 1980 my grandma died and my cousin was the only one that could get me to calm down and when my grandpa died in 1983 again my cousin was the only one could calm me down. Then in 1991 he was on his way home from Oklahoma to Joplin and he crashed his motorcycle and died.
Ghost Story:
I believe in the supernatural things and here is my story, It happen back in 1991 right after my Cousin was killed in a motorcycle accident. I was very close to him and I went to his memorial with some of my family members and we was on the way back to Kansas afterwords and I was listen to my walk-man and looking in to the sky and all of sudden the clouds formed a shape of a motorcycle and on it was a person with a thumbs up and I told my family to look and by the time they did it was gone. I was the only one that saw it. It was my cousin telling me that every thing was going to be ok and ever since then he has been my guarding angel.
I still miss him today but I know he is always here with me.

Background to story:
My grandfather was an alcoholic for a very long time. Just before I was born, he quit drinking, and from what I understand, his personality changed a lot for the better. Although there are several of his grandchildren who are older than I am, I am the first one he ever held as a baby. We were pretty close. He died in 1984.
Ghost story:
My daughter was born in 1992. One night, while I was alone in the car driving home from work, I smelled something in the car. It was pipe smoke!! (Yes, I smoke, but nothing else smells like a pipe - it is the only type of smoke that I think smells ok.) The only person I ever knew who smoked a pipe was Grandpa. I believe he was in the car with me. I talked to him for about 5 minutes, telling him how I missed him, and about my daughter, and that she and I were ok (we both almost died during her birth.) After I had reassured him, the smell faded away.
Every now and then, I still smell pipe smoke, and I talk to grandpa until it fades.
I think he is just checking in, so I know he loves us and is looking out for us.
Blessed be,
Gypsy

I have three...but I shall only tell you one. I was spending a night over at a friend's home. Earlier that day, we went to the abandoned house next door. The second story home had burned to a point where only the windows, doors, the floor supports, and the cement blocks that made up the outside of the home was left. She convinced me that it was okay to go inside and explore, but I had reservations about it due to the rumors that a man and his wife had been burned inside. When she opened the door, she began to walk on the floor supports, but when I went to do so, a cold chill went up my spine and the wood became soft under my feet. I backed out and refused to enter. Later that night, I awoke in the middle of the night and had the feeling that something was watching me. You see, my friend's window was angled to where you could see the second story window. The only one facing us....what I saw in that window looking at me, was two beady, red eyes glaring back at me. I blinked in fear and they were gone. I had been able to see all the way to that window when we had been over there. There is no way anyone could have been at that window or hung something up to play a trick on me. Quite simply, there should have been nothing there. A couple months down the road, an April I remember, I received a phone call from some guy, that I thought to be a prank, warning me to stay out of that house. It brought a cold chill to my spine when I talked to him. I never went near that house again....

When those hairs stand up on your neck and you get goose bumps or youll be sitting around doing nothing, all the sudden you turn around real quick because you get the feeling your being watched...thats them! Yes I have had a encounter. A few years ago when I lived at a different house, I was watching tv in the living room one night. I heard this deep growling noise. My cat was in the middle of my kitchen floor with all his hairs on his back standing straight up. He had this mean look on his face. I just shake my head thinking he may have seen a bug or something like that. Hes weird like that. So I go back into my living room. I am laying on my couch and about 5 minutes later hes screaming again but a bit louder than before. This time I get aggrivated because I am trying to watch a movie. I walk into the kitchen again and my cat is still in the middle of the floor but all of my cabinet doors are wide open. I got this chill , like the room dropped 30 degrees. Needless to say I left. This presence I felt was evil but I feel that this presence had followed me to my new house. Either that or I have encountered another ghost. This ghost takes things from me and my family all the time. Remotes, Brushes, movies, cds, money, phones, etc. A few days later the object we were looking for will appear out in the open in a place we already looked in. My husband has heard his name called when no one was in the house at all.

I live in California and just came back from a trip to San Diego where I toured the Waley House, where I could smell the linseed oil used to treat ropes to keep them strong and a fresh ale smell - it is a museum and linseed oil is not used nor do they serve ale, The star of India, I heard a woman singing a specific song and spoke to the curator she told me I was correct that the woman had sat by her daughters bed singing the song for several hours after the child died of a fever and did not stop until she herself was taken by it, and passed by a tenant house called, I think, The Callahan, I had the saddest feeling of children in danger and was literally "told" to not go in it was a bad place. I asked the tour guide about it and he was startled, it turns out the place used to be an infamous gathering site of child prostitution during the Victorian era, this was not public knowledge and the location has been off official haunt tours for years.

I was in the car and there was an ambulance without the lights on in front of me and when I looked through the window of it there was a pale, greyish face looking little girl maybe 8yrs old with a hospital gown on and she was just starring at me cold and nasty like. It gives me chills talking about it. I was too afraid to go around, I wanted to keep my eyes on her. She look like she had something no good up her sleve. We just keept staring at each other for about 10 blocks then I turned at my stop and it keept going. I would have thought she was a patient but she looked dead and why was she in a sitting position without her seatbelt on. Ususlly they would have a person especially a kid wearing a hospital gown strapped down. She had straight long black hair parted in the middle and it swung back and forth as the ambulance ran over bumps in the road. I had just came back from church and she was looking at me like I did something wrong to her and she was gonna get me. Creepy!

I disregarded it questioning it became a breeze or some thing and went returned to enjoying. In approximately 2 minutes yet another crammed animal fell. i do no longer comprehend why yet I pronounced," i'm no longer afraid of you." the 2d I pronounced that a 0.33 crammed animal fell. I sprinted to the lounge and stayed there till my mom and dad have been given abode. I have been given extraordinarily freaked out and from that day on I on no account carry around crammed animals.

when i was little me and my little brother were sleeping in this coat room filled with real fur coats from some of our dead ancestors. The coats started hitting us and we ran out of the room it was the only space left to sleep in that wasn't full of our relatives it was for Christmas and when our parents and relatives checked the coat closet out there was fur all around the room like if a animal had gotten into a fight.
