Where in the world are you asking from? Makes all the difference.

Check again friend. Every dealer negotiates. There is such a big difference between what cars cost to make and the MSRP (Manufactures Suggested Retail Price) That they are doing deals all the time for employees, their families, and good friends. As a result, they have also started in today's dog-eat-dog world to offer us some of these savings. If the dealer you dealt with said BMW does not negotiate, let them know that you went online and they do in fact negotiate and see how quickly they change their approach. Good Luck.

Any dealership will negotiate on price to some extent. Go to the following site: www.edmunds.com and they will show you the difference between retail and dealer cost on the car. Besides that, the dealer get an additional 3% of the retail price of the car in what is called hold-back. There may also be incentive money a deal can get that is generally referred to as dealer cash.

Unfortunately it has very little to do with the customer. Supply and demand supersede customers ability to negotiate. A car that is in great demand and supply is low has very little room for negotiation. I believe Mini is the same way, and on such an inexpensive car, your discount will be minimal at most.

"HOLD BACK" is non negotiable. It is interest paid to the dealer, in order to hold an inventory. Dealers pay interest on their cars just like we do.

I quote my dealership "When they fly off the shelves. we don't negotiate. We're doing all we can just handling those who want it." My father went into another and got laughed at. Right now, with Mini so in-demand, no discounts/negotiations are being accepted, because they don't have to in order to have the car sell.

GET THE BMW - i bought the vehicle and im in love with it, its the final motor vehicle ive ever had, the final motor vehicle ive ever pushed and its incredible. Mini coopers are 'lovable' yet you opt for to tension some thing particular, you opt for to stroll out in that driveway and lay eyes on somewhat metallic that universal of your existence which you very own it makes you experience solid via using xperience, shape, elegance, the artwork of paintings that it is, then decide for BMW , you wont be disapointed. additionally Mini Coopers are lots greater low-value and greater common to get than a BMW. Theyre in demand yet a BMW is classic splendor and to me its properly well worth the fee tag. those autos comprise the works. decide for the BMW

All dealers, with the exclusion of Scion, can negotiate. Now, some dealers choose not to and some chains (i.e. Carmax) will not allow it. If you can't negotiate at the dealer you are at...look around at other dealers!

so far all dealers (i had bought bmw, merc, toyota, nissan) negotiate. it depends on how you portray yourself when you walk in to the dealership. i always give them the impression that i have checked out other dealers already even when they are the first one. so do some homework first, check out their websites for offers and prices and their ads in the papers. always threaten to walk out and say i'll come back later if the other dealer doesn't give me my price. for sure, it works every time for me, they will give you your price. competition is tough for them so you have the upper hand.
