I'm planning to go to Paris and several provinces of Spain. Should I get travel insurance? Any good suggestions on companies?

It's only worth getting travel insurance if you have to use it.

If you live in the USA or Canada, you can get Trip Cancellation / Interruption Insurance plans that include emergency medical / evacuation coverage plus they will reimburse you for the money you lose if your doctor advises you against travel because of a sickness or injury.

You can also cover pre-existing conditions.

Absolutely.....not only for some of the reasons mentioned by others. But I can almost all but guarantee you that you aren't medically covered internationally. Most aren't for reasons that well not everyone leaves the state, let alone the country and if they covered people for this then premiums would only go up.

TravelEx as someone else mentioned is who our company works with. There prices are based on trip cost and age at time of travel. If you like email me and I can help you in purchasing this. In all honesty it takes me but 5 min. I wouldn't even charge a service fee and don't for my normal clients either. I am so passionate about insurance due to my sister getting in a major car accident in Costa Rica a few years back. She didn't have medical insurance and it cost her a lot of money in the end. Because of this I would be happy to take some time, help you with this and know that you have it! =) I then send you a receipt in the mail along with the insurance company mails a benefits package to your home. Insurance takes 24 hours for it to go into effect after purchase.

Depending on when your travel was purchased will determine if you would be covered for pre-existing medical conditions if you or any travel companions had any that is.

I stay in Spain so that's not uncomplicated to assert. i have were given used to it. that's not all that diverse any better. that's a first international united states of america and as such, has lost plenty. Mexico is much better diverse. North American colleges like Spain because Spanish is the form 2 custom there, the structure is exciting in Barcelona, there are large artwork galleries in Madrid, there are medieval cities and quarters in Toledo, Segovia, Barcelona, and so on., There are historic Roman and Greek ruinsnd a number of Arab stuff (e.g.The Alhambra), .. the elements is often strong. that's likewise a secure position to take college communities. you'd be fortunate (or have a properly planned vacation) and word some large fiestas. It does have a particular custom, notwithstanding lots of the cultural issues right here will be latest in Mexico. My suggestion is that you obtain a replica of the itinerary and study the places you'll. Then make your determination. Spain remains diverse. The question is are you going to exciting places. i might want to bypass on the concept college journeys are oftentimes strong cost and relaxing. word. Spain by no skill genocided absolutely everyone. It develop into the U. S. and Canada that wiped out the Indians. Mexico has over 70% of the inhabitants with Amerindian ancestry. even as did you very last see an Indian on your united states of america who develop into no longer in a reservation or jumping round for Anglo travelers?

I would recommend getting travel insurance if you are making multiple airline and/or train connections. There are many things that can go wrong and cause you to miss one or to lose luggage.

I always use Travelux and have even filed a claim with them and they paid promptly.

Yep - and you'll find it probably costs you less than $20 if you call 1-800-cover-me

Ohip will only pay 40-60% of unexpected out of country medical. If you accidentally broke your leg you'd be broke!
