It does depend on where you are coming from. You can always take the commuter rail into South Station or North Station. Jump on the Silver Line.

If you don't feel safe leaving your car at the train station and/or don't have a ride, you may want to look into a Logan Express bus.

The new Silver Line bus can be picked up from parts of the regular subway. However, if you don't feel like dragging luggage around on trains, I would recommend Logan Express, which has several locations (Framingham, Braintree, and some North Shore locations -- perhaps more that I don't know about since I moved away a few years ago). They are more expensive (though cheaper than a van service), but also more convenient.
