I would buy her a gift certificate for an adult store, then it is open for discussion, and you can decide if you want to go together or let her suprise you.
You may be suprised, it worked for me.

Picking out a toy is a couple thing. Especially the first time. If you nor she has never tried one before than you should go together to pick one out then, if she likes it, look at other toys in the future.

While "browsing" through the back of a magazine notice an advertisement for the toy you had in mind. Make some kind of noise that gets her attention and when she asks what you are looking at show her and ask if she has ever seen one, or considered getting one. If she is disgusted drop it quickly after agreeing with her. If she sounds interested ask her if she would like to try one out together with you.

If it is her first toy or the first time you are going to use a toy together, she NEEDS to pick it out herself. That is a highly personal decision, since it is going to go inside her. You should be supportive, but it is ultimately her call since it is her vagina.
Unless of course it is a toy to be used on you. Then pick whatever you like.

You should talk to her about it first, surprising her with it may not be a good idea. Communication is the key. I really don't think a "toy" can replace the real thing!

yes you should get your wife a toy. it shows that you are willing to explore sexually and that you have faith that she will not get too attached to it. a toy can do a lot to enhance your life in the bedroom, both together and just for her. take that leap. you will enjoy it in the long run.

First: You should not surprise her with it. And I would say you should not buy her anything like that until you know her a bit better. Heck.she may already have one.........
Second: If you are thinking it may replace you.........The two of you have ALOT of growing up yet to do.....
