Could I hook up my computer to my TV, so that the pictures that I have taken could come up on the TV screen. If yes, do I need special hardware/software. Thanks

Depends on the computer. If you're taking about a laptop, many of them have an S-Video output. A few desktop computers have this as well, but not as many.

S-Video is the best bet - for that, you'll just need a cable, something you could probably find at your local Radio Shack.

If you don't have that connection, you'll probably need to get a different video card (one with a TV out), though, depending on what you've got, you might be able to find an adaptor.

almoast all the newer videocards have a supervideo out port. just connect your tv there with an svideo cable. then select the svideo in on your television. this thing works, if u are restarting or turning on your computer. until shut down/reboot you won't see a thing on the TV so don't forget to reboot

No special software required. You need a Male to Male VGA Monitor Cable or a S Video cable. I prefer the VGA monitor cable, I use this cable to connect my laptop to my LCD flat panel TV.
You can try both... the cables are inexpensive.
