yes, gay and lesbian people do exist, and they do take on all kinds of jobs, they are police, firefighters, military, teachers, preachers, farmers, business owners, models, actors, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers.
Being gay or lesbian, or bi or transgendered does not limit a persons ability to do a job.

YES! In the Toronto Pride parade this year (which is huge, it attracted almost a million people), there was a section for gay police (in uniform) with many participants, holding hands with their partners. Same for the firefighters on a big firetruck, holding hands, kissing. The Mayor and almost all of City Council marched, too -- not to mention the countless numbers of teachers, nurses, doctors, and others who participated in the 2 1/2 hour parade.
But yes, there are gay police officers who are proud to be part of the community.

Wow, this one gets knottier the greater you seem at it, would not it. i'm kinda torn between idealism and pragmatism - if it is sensible? devoid of doubt there are double standards at play right here - and, definite, it is a comprehensive no-brainer that a White PF would not be tolerated for a 2d. yet i assume the argument for the BPF is going back to the time of the McPherson record (wish I have been given the call top) into the Steven Lawrence homicide, while i think the term "institutional racism" replaced into first coined and levelled as an accusation against the police tension as an entire. If one accepts that such intense tiers of prejudice did exist interior the stress at that factor, then it is not frustrating to make certain how some order of counter degree such via fact the BPF replaced into mandatory to make certain non white officers have been afforded honest scientific care/equivalent opportunities with their white colleagues - and to motivate greater non whites to enlist. although the difficulty so often while "useful discrimination" is utilized, and particular circumstances are made for persons who've hitherto been felt to be getting a uncooked deal, is that the pendulum then is going directly to swing too a procedures interior the different path. And someway each time it is white Brits being discriminated against now, it is deemed to be ideal and justified - even our "in basic terms deserts" for having had it so solid all those years, as though ANY working type peoples of in spite of history have been ever something different than thoroughly f*cked over with the help of the ruling type elite. damn, i'm dropping my thread now - so i'm going to close up. solid quezzy, Fin! EDIT: ok, scrub all the above - MR SCEPTIC'S regulate EGO in basic terms hit nail on the pinnacle fantastically!

Of course! I know that in my professional jurisdiction alone, there are at least 3 gay male police officers, and I know of 1 gay firefighter as well. As for military - a close friend of mine was a navy seal for 12 years. Hes openly gay, and whats even more amazing is that he was openly gay while on his boat team. Hes explained to me that when you're willing to die for somebody, they stop caring who you want to sleep with. Anyway, yes. Gay men exist in every facet of society.

Yes, they do. A lot of them are still in the closet, though. When you find gay police officers who are not closeted, they're going to be in big cities, too.
Here are a few links to various organizations for gay police officers.
