You set up your account to use SSL and the server you're trying to communicate with doesn't support SSL. You need to disable that in your account settings:

- Click Tools > Accounts > Mail tab.

- Highlight your email account and click Properties.

- Click the Advanced tab.

- Remove checks from the boxes "This server requires a secure connection" for both outgoing and incoming mail.

while you're no longer able to deliver digital mail, attempt employing port 587 whilst sending via ability of Yahoo!'s SMTP server. here is the thank you to make this modification in Outlook: one million. From the "strategies" menu, pick "debts." 2. pick your Yahoo! POP account and click the "residences" button. 3. click the "enhanced" tab. 4. next to "Outgoing server (SMTP"), replace port 25 to 587. 5. click "prepare." Then click "ok" and "close."
