It's a tie between Michigan and Mississippi according to CNN

I really think not enough credit is given to Bush for the messes he has had to deal with. September 11, Katrina, 2 Wars, etc. I think we are lucky the economy is not in worse shape than it is. Unemployment dropped during the first five or so years of the bush admin didn't it? I think right now overall it only about back to where it was when he took office but i am not positive on that.

I don't know the answer. However, you should be aware that unemployment rates by state are deceiving. Many states have out-migration. Their unemployment rate may be low, but that is because people are leaving, not because their economy is good.
