For one, your friend is how old? Im guessing a young teen... and if that is the case, chances are that she will definately fill out in the right places, lose weight after completing puberty and after she gets older.
I weighed a lot when i was young, but after i was finished with puberty, it all went away and now i weigh 110 lbs.
The only thing you can do, is stick by your friend and stick up for her, keep her head up and dont let her get sad because of all the ignorant and stupid people out there.

Don't say fat to her or around her, let her no that people in other cultures would die to have her wealth of weight & that the Royals back in the day was judged by their weight & skinny people was peasants. The people teasing her, find something wrong with them & point that out.(don't cause no *** whipp'n)You stand by her, you never no who she is gonna grow up to be. She can loose the weight but its hard for those people to shake the ignorance and their UGLY attitudes. help her find clothes that don't cling to her, a lil roomy, help her develop a sex appeal about her body, big butt- find some jeans that look good on her, nice breast you know how to handle that just don't get fitted tops that stop at the waste, look at Monique she looks good for a big girl...let your girl no that. good luck-

She's your Best friend it shouldn't matter to you..love her as your best friend no matter what... but if she asks for help to lose weight then you can step in and help her out...sometimes defending her will help out alot because then she knows that you really care... if it bothers he alot that people make fun of her.. talk to her and tell her to ignore them, just be there for her.. If it doesn't bother her that people make fun of her even better..

Nothing. just be a friend to her. If she needs you to listen to her when she's down then do that. If she feels like hanging out with you then just do that. Don't feel like you need to solve her problems for her. It's a s.h.i.t.t.y. world and good friends make it a lot better.

Always stick up for her.
That being said, you might want to encourage her to live a healthier lifestyle--you can do things together--like go for walks, or go to eat at a nice vegan restaurant.

Just tell these people that they're rude and hateful and immature right to their faces and then just quickly walk away.
If they persist tell them that ' they're ugly and their mother dresses them funny."
Bully's like to pick on people who won't and don't fight back.

Remind those people that your friend is certainly not as cruel, rude and small as they are.
