I played the drums in the marching band and I always had a blast. I can still play the drums today at church and with friends and stuff. Make sure if you learn to play an instrument, that it's something that you can play for years to come. Nobody wants to play a tuba!

THE PIT...otherwise known as the lazy section that stands up front to play keyboards...the pit isn't lazy though... but some advantages: you don't have to march, you don't have to buy the instrument, very prominent parts, CYMBALS!!!!!! disadvantages: sometimes stuck with people who don't give a crap and don't have any musical ability whatsoever

like im in the marching band, im a dance gurl, but since u want to play an instrament i would suggest the clarinet or the trumpet,flute, because they are the easiest to cary and they are the best players ever xcuz i play them all, well hope my awnser helped, ill probly never tty again..lol....hope my awnser helped....PEACE!!

My niece liked playing flute ......
cuz it was very lightweight,
and flute players are usually
in front rows of band, and
flutes have very recognizable
sounds.
also price isn't as high as
other instruments

I would play anything that you would enjoy playing. You wouldnt want to be stuck playing something you hated, would you?

Trumpets and trombones are the flashiest. Piccolo is lightest...

trumpet. you can get a solo. that's what we all want. the solo. easy to carry. no back pain. not too much spit. and it's shiney. oooooh.
