You have to create an avatar in your mail account, then you have to edit your info in the My Q&A and then click the use avatar setting.

start up a 360 page. Download your pic and choose it as your primary. Then go to answers home page and edit your info. Choose "use my 360 picture" or do what the person above me said :)

From here go to "home" just below "search for question" clic on your funny image, then on edit your profile

click on your funny looking thing once you have logged into answers.
click on edit my profile then you can click on use my avatar.
