This film was OK; it had some laughs, but not Carrey's funniest. Part of the problem was Carry and Aniston are an odd pair together, and I don't see them as a couple. As for the good, Morgan Freeman is very likable in this part. I liked it when the dog "learns" to use the toliet, and the finding of Jimmy Hoffa's body was a great idea. The monkey out of the butt sure looked painful! But why would someone want their old job back if they just got God's powers? You'd think Bruce would try to be President, Governor, or head of a big company. Of course, you could second guess a lot of it since it dwelves into fantasy.

FINAL VERDICT: It's good for some laughs. Wished Carrey got God's powers earlier in the film and did more with them. So, it's worth seeing.

It was definately a very funny movie. Mainly because Jim Carrey is great comedian and is slowly turning into a decent actor as well. IE: The Majestic, Eternal Sushine and The Truman Show. But "Bruce" could have been much better. I think the director and editor lost sight of the story when they were trimming it to their liking (booh). Story didn't end up flowing as well as it could have, but, still an enjoyable film to say the least.

It's about an average guy who thinks that god has dealt him a bad deal in life and ends up temporary gets gods powers and has to his job for while and with jim carrey being the Bruce in question is full of using the powers how he wants to and eventually with the way his life changes in the process he changes and it's bascally about a guy who's against everything then goes back to his average excistence at the end and appreciating it.

Bruce Almighty is one of my favorite movies!! It is about your average joe who is give some of Gods powers. It shows how he uses these powers for his own good and on occasion the good of others. In the end he learns a valuable lesson and alls well that ends well.

It is very good. I found it to be sort of an updated version of "It's a Wonderful Life". Interesting thing about this movie is that a black actor played God and you never heard anyone complain. Maybe it's a sign that we've come a long way or maybe it's just because Morgan Freeman can do no wrong in any role he plays.

Funny but I've seen Jim Carrey in better roles like The Truman Show.

If you like Jim Carey it's one of his funniest movies. It's a little bit corny with the love aspect, but I like the concept of a very average guy getting the power of god, and the conversations he has with god (Morgan Freeman) seem almost what you might expect. It was overall pretty well done and entertaining all the way through. I give it a 3.5 out of 4 stars. You should definitely see it.

Good light hearted movie, doesn't take itself too seriously but warms the heart with something of a message.

Give it a try, definitely worth a friday night in with a video and some popcorn.
