Try asking how many acres in a "square mile". You'll get more response. (1 square mile is equal to 640 acres)

An acre measures area while a mile measures distance.
Are you sure you don't mean a square mile? If so, then there are 640 acres in a square mile.
If not, then I'm afraid I can't answer your question.

Acre is a measure of AREA, therefore, I think you mean, "How many acres in a SQUARE mile", in which case, the answer is 640.

If you mean square mile, there are 640 acres in a square mile.
If you mean square roots of an acre, and if you mean statute mile, then there are 5280/208 or about 25.3 of them.
The question as it stands has no answer since acres measure area and miles measure length.

Acres is area, mile is length. Did you mean square mile? If so, I think that it's 640 acres per square mile. I'd recommend that you verify this.

Erm ... there are NO acres in a straight mile. As a mile measures distance and an acre measures area.
But, if you meant SQUARE mile, then there are 640acres in 1 square mile.
