My husband was recently reprimanded at work for being too slow. He and I both know it is because he is 100 + lbs overweight. I have taken all the sugar out of the house and I have been cooking low carb for months now. He refuses to eat many vegetables. Lettuce, tomatoes, carrotts and most of the green leafy things are off limits as far as he is concerned. He will not go near a salad. How do I get him to eat healthier so he can lose weight? I also need to try to motivate him to excercise. His job is very physical and he has been doign it for 10 years. He is so tired when he gets home all he wants to do is sleep. What can I do? I am at my wits end here. He is only 29 years old! Please no rude comments.

I don't think you'll be able to do anything until he is convinced that he needs to do it himself.

You do not sound like you are obese? If you're..it is not via a lot. Maybe he simply desires you to tone up. Sometimes when you construct muscle, you're going to seem slimmer even though the size does not transfer. However....I recognize your difficulty right here...I am now not certain if I can say he's wasting curiosity however I can see why it'll difficulty you and/or harm your emotions. I might pass and speak to him. Because, when you've got a youngster and now most effective weigh 141lbs you probably did unusual. You weigh much less now than you probably did whilst he met you. It does sound "related to"? Go ask him..pass and speak to him. Make certain that whilst you do pass and speak to him, do not phrase it in some way that seems like you're accusing him of wasting curiosity, being imply and/or dishonest..however in some way that you're seeking to larger recognize his function...when you consider that rather you currently weigh not up to whilst he met you. Maybe - you might propose that either one of you devour a more fit vitamin and endeavor in combination, that approach it is not simply you doing it. Good success...and I wish matters figure out for you..however without doubt pass and ask him. PS....Is this the primary time he has requested or made any forms of feedback approximately your weight?

Buy pants that are a bit smaller, replace all his old ones (keep doing this until he's at the proper weight). Do family walks. Make sure he doesn't eat for 3 hours before he goes to sleep (because you're not burning anything when you sleep all the fat and carbs are being stored)

If his job is very physical, he probably gets plenty of exercise at work.

Cook lots of the vegetables that he does like, and avoid saying ANYTHING about the problem to him - and that means no making faces, no sighs, no shrugs - just no form of nagging whatsoever. People don't change anything because somebody is after them to do so. In fact, nagging increases stress levels and probably piles on weight more than anything else.

See that he gets regular checkups from his doctor, and let the doctor say anything that needs to be said.

Do you need to loose weight and do you exercise? Maybe if you both try and exercise in the mornings he'll come with you. He may not be coperating because he does not see why he should get into shape for you if you are not in shape ( I do not know if you are or not ).
